My Most Dear Belongings, hmmm

Wow, what an interesting question. I have thought about this question all day since I read it this morning.

I am a man of many things, many belongings, lots of items that I consider dear. I think we must first ask what makes a item or belonging dear.

With out looking in a dictionary, I came up with this list of questions for my self. To become dear, would the item be one I’ve had the longest, handed down from a loved one, awarded for a good deed or just something that I enjoy for no tangible reason? Maybe think of what the first thing you’d grab if your house was on fire. Imagine if you lost all your belongings which ones would you be most upset about.

To answer for me, I’d say I have no dang idea. I have many things that I hold dear to my heart but that list changes quite a bit, it grows and shrinks. Not because something becomes less dear, but because it just isn’t in my top of mind at the moment. With that, I’ll have to plead the 5th on this one.
